Christianne did a great job on this. I can now use it to decode my 16 year old daughter's texts...

Are you embracing your inner texter?
Texting isn't just for your teenage son or daughter anymore. As twenty-somethings enter the real estate market as buyers, it's more important than ever to "speak your buyer's language".
You probably know LOL (Laughing Out Loud), ROTFLMAO (Rolling On The Floor Laughing My A*s Off), and other very common text abbreviations. But how proficient are you in speaking "text" to a client who really uses it every day? Here are some hints to help you become (or just look like) a texter:
BC.....Because
BTW.....By The Way
CU.....See You
EOD.....End of Day
NRN.....No Reply Necessary
OTP.....On The Phone
QQ.....Quick Question
THX.....Thanks
YW.....You're Welcome
86.....Over (Ended)
ADDY.....Address
F2F....Face To Face
GMTA.....Great Minds Think Alike
IMO.....In My Opinion
IMHO.....In My Humble Opinion
OIC.....Oh, I See
L8.....Late
NP.....No Problem
J/W.....Just Wondering
So there you have it! A short list of common abbreviations used by those who text!

I need to jump on board with these. I find myself typing every word out, except "u" or "r" or "k". I can't help it. I have gotten really fast though. Thanks for sharing these, some I have not seen.
It's true many clients today don't want you to call them anymore..it's all e-mail and texting, I get that..... but omg is this not the end of social interaction? I swear half the kids I know are socially retarded because they grew up playing video games and then when they got old enough bought cell phones with keyboards so they could "talk" to the person sitting next to them...maybe I'm just an old frump but I've seen some pretty ridiculous stuff when it comes to texting. ttyl Brian
Mirela, as always relevant and well presented. Thanks for some new ones. I can't tell you how many people I work with who we mostly communicate by email - have yet to do a lot of texting with them How many people can you NOT reach on the phone but by email or text - response in 5 minutes??? lol but true :) (especially kids!)
Mirela, I need this code book bad. I spell everything out.
This is all great - as long as we're not using them to text clients.
I think even if clients text us first, we need to be professional, until they make the first move and start 'shorthand' texting. :)
Hi M&M !
I text a lot so I use many of these to save me time :o)
... some I didnt know though so thanks for the checklist !
Cheers Mirela !
