Love it.

It's funny, just today I read an article about Mariah Carey and how she got the role in the upcoming movie "Precious".

The director gave her the role on the condition that she has no perks, no entourage, and if she came on to the set with a shred of make-up on, she would be fired.

She stated that she was very apprensive about this at first, but said that she found it very liberating and that it started this course of forgetting about trying to be and look perfect and control the whole image thing, and that she has started to embrace her imperfections.

I was very happy to see this and some of her performance from the trailer.  I was never a fan of her "Diva" image because it is so inevitably destructive to young women.  She gained some respect from me for doing this.

this is real.  There is no such thing as perfection.  It is just a myth that people who are manipulators want to you think in order to drive you in the direction they choose and attempt to manipulate you for not being perfect.

I believe that is the premise of this video.  Embrace your imperfections.

Wow

How true.  When you get to know someone intimately there are many things like this you might share.  Especially at the end of life.

I just got to share this with others.  Thanks for a heart warming post.

Mirela, this is a great reminder for us to look for the good in our family and friends and over look the small insignificant things that really don't matter! Thank you for sharing!

Mirela - I am going to go home and hug my imperfect husband of 40+ years and enjoy a nice quiet evening with him.  We always laugh and tell our daughters that family knows where all your warts are and they still love you any way.  Thanks for posting this.
