Princess Juliana Airport in St. Martin: the Lowest Landing Airport in the World. Can you say "Wow!!!" ?

Princess Juliana International Airport in St. Martin is the lowest landing airport in the World.  If you want to witness flight drama, just visit Maho Beach, which is located directly in the plane's path…  My daughter and I did just that.  Was it scary?  It was intimidating, to say the least...  Check it out for yourself!  It’s a show like no other!

Wow it looks like that plane is going to join you on the beach, Mirela. Hope you had a great time...

I've seen a couple of those videos on YouTube before.  Absolutely crazy to see an airplane come in that close!

One more thing off my "1000 Places to Visit in my Life" List...  589 more left...

Do you have such a list?  Where are you at on that list?

Wow- that's scary. and a fine way to ruin a relaxing day at the beach! Reminds me of when I was a little girl, maybe 3 or 4, everytime a plane flew overhead I used to run in the house, scared. I don't know if it was the noise, or I thought it would fall out of the sky on me, but I remember being scared.

been there and there is a little bar where you can watch the planes go in and land - is very cool

There is a beach in St Lucia that is just like that, I guess with the limited "flat" areas on some islands there isnt much choice but to come right up to the beach to land!
