My goal was to garner 100,000 points by the time Active Rain touched the magic number of 100,000 members.
AR finally achieved the 100,000 member status and I have 108,732 points! Done!
The second part of my goal was to have at least 100 members in the Optimist Group. We now have 140 members. Done!
The third part of my goal was to be in the top 100 bloggers. I am two subscriptions away from achieving that goal... which means: NOT Done!

You are my good luck charm! While I'm hot, let's get on a plane together and head to Vegas to meet Arina and stop by a casino. This kind of luck can pay dividends ; )
Lewis, Sheree and Spencer: Thank you so very much for helping me reach my goal! I saw Lewis and Spencer's comments on my blackberry tonight, and I can tell you: this was one ecstatic girl! Sheree was the quiet subscriber and the cherry on top of my lovely AR cake.
I thought AR would turn 100K tomorrow and figured I would garner a couple of subscriptions by then, but when I saw the announcement on my blackberry and confirmed it on line this evening before dinner, a great sadness overcame me, because I was so close, yet missed reaching my goal. That's when I posted this blog, then went jogging and afterwards left for dinner. On the way there I checked my blackberry and was joyous beyond belief to read the comments indicating the two subscriptions.
I have always been very goal oriented. At the age of 10 I formulated my goal to live in the USA. By 15 I was here. Everything I have accomplished started with a little seed in my brain. Last September that seed said: 100,000 points, 100 members, top 100 bloggers by the time AR reaches 100,000 points.
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH TO ALL MY SUBSCRIBERS FOR HELPING ME REACH MY GOAL! It took 10 months and over 300 blogs (I think it's over 300; I stopped counting a while back) to get here.
This was my personal goal. My accomlishment here goes way beyond that: the frienships forged, the education received, the leads garnered... PRICELESS! Active Rain has been a God sent! Today I felt like I had brought in the New Year!

I have to confess that my discretionary time has dwindled. Other people go clubbing, shopping... I go blogging. It's healthier, much cheaper AND it feeds the business. I bet others wish they had similar "addictions"...

When I was three or four years old, daddy took me to a special Christmas show. At one point in the show they asked the audience for volunteers to go up on stage and recite a poem. Daddy turned to suggest that I go, but I wasn't in my seat; I was already on my way toward the stage. I still remember reciting the poem in the most dramatic way possible and the audience roared. It was so much fun! I've gotten on too many stages to count since then and it seems that I never miss an opportunity to amuse a crowd. Every day I'm alive is a blessing; with me it's never taken for granted. Making someone laugh makes me laugh. Inspiring someone inspires me! Joy is highly contagious!

I can certainly see you on stage, especially so young and making the crowd roar! And living life large and to the fullest. No holding back. After all, that's what we're here for, right?

I may be your lucky charm (serendipity is my platform in life!), but I am not a good gambler. When I go to Vegas I visit all the sites, see the shows and go shopping. Gambling? $ 10 in a few slot machines cures my gambling urges for the decade. If Vegas had people like me in it's Casionos it wouldn't be the behemoth it is, it would be one pitch tent in the sand.
I'll come visit Arina though, and stand by your side for luck. I'll probably end up getting Arina some referrals by the end of the evening. I just can't help myself!! I don't mean to be selling; it just happens... I just like listening to people and asking a ton of questions.,, Maybe by the end of the evening Arina will consider me her lucky charm too.

Leolinda: You know that I have! I completely savor the moment, then make the next goal... I can't help myself; that's just how I'm hardwired. I love a good competition! I love arriving to destination. It is so fulfilling. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face throughout dinner tonight.
By the way, isn't it wonderful that AR solved all those nagging problems? The spell check works like a charm now and I haven't been kicked off in weeks!

Congrats on reaching your goal. I promise I will get registered here, sometime this year. :) I'm still in my learning curve.
Not Yet Licensed: You could have fooled me! You are a lot more adept than you give yourself credit for.
FYI: My offer to walk you through the registration process still stands. If you can have your headset, a viable phone and Internet access simultaneously, I can have you registered in less than 5 minutes. Heck, I could even do it for you! Call me tomorrow, so we can get rid of this "Not Yet Licensed" logo and assign you your next one: "Soon to Be Licensed, now Proud AR Member!"
