The Golden Rule: He Who Has The Gold, Makes The Rule...

Fannie and Freddie and all the President's men...  First it was the initial Bailout.  Then the money ran out and we're looking at another bailout, or are they talking Bailout$ (as in more than "uno mas").

I only have one question to ask:  When are they passing the TAXPAYER'S BAILOUT?

Whether in Communism, Capitalism, or Whatever-ism...  One thing is for sure:

Ouch!  Is it just me, or do you think we're going to be feeling the pain of all of this for years to come?

How about the Realtors bail out plan?  We could get enough for each agent to pay: board dues, license fees, mls fees, and Hmmmmm what else could we add on?

Pat:  How about the loss of revenue due to this debacle?

The Big Boys are not hurting; they never will...  Joe Schmuck, I mean Joe Schmoe, is the only one paying the tab...

We are getting near the end of the bailouts. Common Sense should start counting soon. Its all in Obama's court in a couple of weeks. Another 50 billion or so for GM then they are toast unless we have a national auto company.

I think that the taxes for these bailouts are going to be around for a long time.  They have to be for it not to turn every average joe bk. Lets just hope that it actually makes a difference/is used effectively.

Eric:  I have a headache already.  I no longer turn on the news.  I stopped reading the newspapers.  I am on economic forecast overload.  Dodo Bird or ostrich?  Oh, who cares?  It's better than watching this pilfering...

I hear someone in Congress brought up doing away with taxes for 2 months to help stimulate the economy.

Don't think that will happen. If we had 2 months of getting to keep all that we earn, most people would be surprised at how much extra cash they had and refuse to let it be taken away any more..

Mirela, I like the "he who has the gold rules" rule.  Thought of it while listening to the news tonight!

Why would you think it could be anyway else?  It plays out in your family, at work, and in government. Economics explains most everything.

Happy Holidays!

Let's just enjoy our family and friends over the holidays. Watch some sports. Don't look for a Christmas Rally on Wall Street.

We can make it thru this....

Bailout or Loan with strings attached....Can't wait for the new President to fix the mess this administration has made the last 8 years.  I am just going to enjoy my holidays and tune in after January 20th...Hopefully it will be better plan! Sure couldn't be worse!

Happy Holidays

I see a lot of comments about the news... I NEVER watch the news, to darn depressing and the media has an agenda, they do not report, they push their own agenda.  I do read the paper, at least that way I can form my own opinion from the facts .. (usually much more positive than the headlines) As far as the bailouts.. turns my stomache, but I do understand the need ... I just wish there was a better check and balance system rather than the blank check route that seems to be taken....

We will survive.  MERRY CHRISTMAS Mirela!

Robert:  I know it's a bit infantile to do what I'm doing (staying away from the news).   I am not the kind of person to just sit down and take it, if you know what I mean...  Instead of getting into trouble, I choose to ignore the gross abuse of power.  When the dust settles we'll realize just how much dough has been "misplaced" (in lieu of the word "stolen")...  It will be a problem for several administrations to deal with and debt the American people will have to tend to for a very long time.  The big boys will be busy spending their money, though.  Isn't public service great?  We should get into that bracket instead of Real Estate...

Christine:  Thank you!  I was a little reluctant to post them.  I do not want to get into controversial topics.

Mirela speaks the truth! Way to go!

Just say NO to bailouts...

Chuck:  We need to put a good, strict mother in charge of the budget.  That way we'll be certain that:

-the bills will get paid on time (to avoid the late penalty)

-we'll only spend money we have

-if the boys make mistakes, they'll need to pay for them!
